Client Work Area
You may know the technology but don’t have access to the equipment.
You may not have a clue, other than knowing you need something done. Soon.
Either way, we can help.
The Learning Technologies Center supports a well-equipped client work area to serve the instructional technology needs of the UA campus. Faculty and graduate teaching assistants, this means you. When you need a place to design innovative learning experiences for your students, come by and utilize our cache of instructional technologies.
The work area includes five PCs and one Mac, plus a variety of peripherals and software applications for your use. You can work alone or get help from our expert consulting staff on the use of all these tools.

Here are some of the things you can do just by using our equipment and consultation:
- Edit a video into smaller segments to be shown in class or replicated digitally to include on a course D2L site
- Make multiple copies of audio, video or graphical material for distribution to students
- Scan a hard copy document and convert it to a PDF with our multi-feed document scanner
- Copy CDs and DVDs
- Convert a VHS tape to a DVD
- Convert 8 mm slide images to a digital form
- Make up to 15 photocopies free of charge for use in your course
- Work on your D2L course site or other instructional materials in a quiet environment with instructional design consultants nearby for immediate assistance
Reservations for these work stations are recommended but not required.
The client work area is available during regular LTC opening hours. Check
our main page for our regular hours.
