Nancy Dill
My piece of the puzzle:
Nancy is working as an Instructional Designer as part of the D2L Course Management System Team, focusing on Online Programs for the College of Nursing nd College of Public Health. Nancy is also currently working on teaching-learning applications related to Second Life (SL), Social Networking Facebook, Ning, LinkedIn), and Mobile Computing (iPhone, iPod Touch, Kindle).
Background & Education:
Nancy has been a professor at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY), where she Chaired the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education (off and on in several decades) and was Acting Dean of the School of
Education for 3 years before taking early retirement to live in Arizona full-time.
At QC she started The Internet Cafe users group (which now exists as a real Internet cafe in the QC Library) and co-directed a Master's program in Telecommunications for Teachers. She has also taught at Bank Street College of
Education and Syracuse University.
Nancy is currently a member of the Commission for the Status of Women (CSW), specifically focusing her efforts on the Education and Outreach Working Group.
She earned a B.A. degree from Carson-Newman College, a Master's degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has an Ed.D. degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, with a specialization
in Curriculum & Teaching, Educational Change, and English Language & Literature.
