What: Seminar- Designing An Accelerated Course: Cramming 16 weeks into 5 weeks
When: Monday April 9 at 10 am or Thursday the 12th at 2pm (sessions last 50 minutes)
Who: Facilitated by Kathy Spicer, OIA
Where: ILC Room 136
Target Audience: Instructors teaching in Summer 2012 sessions, particularly teaching summer session for the first time
Description: Many Faculty are being asked to offer courses over shorter periods of time, the winter break, shorter summer sessions. In this seminar we will explore how to identify critical elements of your 16-week course and use those as the foundation for your 5-week course. This will include a tour of instructional design strategies, and research-based tips for making an accelerated course effective and enjoyable for all. This seminar is open to all faculty, adjunct faculty and TAs.
Registration is restricted to 10 individuals in each session.
